The first tenet of People Change People is Authenticity. Authentic people are potent agents of change. Our world is filled with replicas of just about everything: cars, instruments, toys, you name it. The pull to imitate others is powerful. We find safety in being followers, and comfort in doing what has been done before, going where many have gone before.

Being authentic means you answer to a different call. It’s like hearing and responding to a note only you can detect. Strive for authenticity and you will give a gift to others around you, and to yourself. This takes work, but yields immeasurable riches in the realm of human connection and self-understanding.
